Pro’s Select Baseball Clinic

Pro’s Select baseball was founded with the baseball player and the baseball team in mind. Pro’s Select offers a wide variety of skill based camps, clinics and showcases for the individual player that wants to raise his skill level and improve his chances of being noticed by the coach at the next level. We also offer numerous opportunities for the baseball team to showcase or compete for a championship. Whether it’s the Youth or Junior Skills camp, the Collegiate clinic or one of the team tournaments or Invitational events that your player is going to attend, you can be sure that he will have an opportunity to learn baseball, be seen by College Coaches/Professional scouts and have a professional experience.

The John Cedarburg Youth skills camp, ages 6-12 years old and the Junior skills camp, ages 13-14 years old, allow the younger player to learn the fundamentals of the game, listen to top notch High School Coaches, Professional players and Professional scouts who want to teach the game and its finer points. It’s a great opportunity to learn the proper techniques of hitting, fielding, and pitching. If you want to improve your game and learn the way that the Pro’s play the game, then the Skills camps are a great option.

The Pro’s Select Collegiate Clinic is a highly advanced clinic where High School players aged 15-18 years old get the opportunity to interact with college coaches who teach the games fundamentals and advanced techniques in all areas of the game. The Pro’s Select Collegiate Clinic is a great opportunity to be seen by College Coaches and Professional scouts and to actually have the opportunity to talk with college coaches and scouts about the game that we all aspire to play at the highest level.

Pro’s Select Tournaments and Invitational events feature a one day Showcase at the beginning of each Tournament or Invitational and assure that your player will be seen by College Coaches and Pro scouts. In fact, professional scouts run the showcase portion of these events. Each Showcase features a Pro style workout that includes a 60 yard dash, a defensive segment to grade outfield or infield arm strength and batting practice for each player. Your team will then participate in games against the best competition from around the state of Florida.

The 2011 Florida State Championships featured 40 teams from Florida and Puerto Rico and was a tremendous success. The Orlando Scorpions Black team took home the Championship trophy. The 2012 Florida State Championships will add 1 sponsor – Southwest Florida Baseball and two brackets for Champions to emerge from. The 16U tournament will run from June 16-19 and the Underclass tournament will run from June 18-21. Prospect Select Baseball will co-host this event and feature live streaming up to date news, articles and stats. This will be a part of the Perfect Game Summer League.

The Pro’s Select Invitational is a fall event that is very well attended by College coaches and Professional scouts. It is a round robin event that has the very best travel teams within the state of Florida competing for attention from all of the scouts and college recruiters in attendance. The 2011 Friday night Showcase had 34 college and professional teams that were represented and overall 62 teams attended the weekend Invitational games. The 2012 Pro’s Select Invitational will be September 15-16 with the individual Friday night showcase on September 14.

The High School Series events are round robin events that allow High Schools to compete against other High Schools in the state of Florida. Run rules are relaxed, a 5 batter maximum is enforced and there is free substitution. The concept is to play innings so that your team can get the at-bats and innings that players need to improve. This year’s High School Series will be Sept 28-30.

Pro’s Select makes its home in Fort Myers, FL and has the great privilege of using the finest fields – Terry Park and complexes – Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins in the United States. Many thanks go out to the Lee County Sports Organizing committee and grounds crews in Lee County for maintaining the best looking fields in the business. I encourage you to look around the web site, find the right baseball opportunity for you and have a great baseball experience.
